I have been a little puny this weekend, so the main shelf I’ve been hanging out with has been the tea shelf. Nothing says warmth and well-being to me like a nice cup of tea.
People expect me to have coffee when they visit, but they are often surprised at my extensive tea selection. The truth is that I actually drink more tea than coffee. I’m not as picky about it (although of course I have my preferences), but I enjoy it on a regular basis.
My favorite tea of all is Earl Grey. I like it with sugar and cream (well, coconut milk technically). I also like green tea, but I am much more particular about it. I blame friends who have brought me green tea from Asia, which, unlike most green tea one can get stateside, does not taste like I’m licking a tree.
Tea is a quick way to welcome someone in and make them feel right at home. What do you like to do to make guests feel welcome?
